BioShock: Infinite gets a Street Date
The upcoming steampunk third-person shooter Bioshock: Infinite will be packaged with a copy of the original BioShock upon its release, according to the PlayStation Blog. Moreover, the game will support the PlayStation Move control system out of the box when it hits U.S. stores on October 16th.
The End of the Sony Cell
Sony’s Cell processor – the lifeblood of the PlayStation 3 – will not be brought back for use with the PlayStation 4, either in its current form or in an updated capacity. This can be attributed to Sony’s decision to stop any future Cell development due to its high price. Development on the PlayStation 4 is still being kept tightly under wraps, but now we have some strong indications of what might be found under its hood, come Sony’s official announcement.

Assassin’s Creed in Colonial America?
If the newly released box art is any indication, the next Assassin’s Creed will be set in Colonial America. In an image completely devoid of subtlety, a hooded character reminiscent of the protagonists in past Assassin’s Creed adventures brandishes a tomahawk, bow, and pistols as he clutches a fallen Redcoat’s throat. A Continental flag flaps in the war-torn background.
SimCity 5 Next Year
The next installment of the long running city-building RPG SimCity is set to hit stores in 2013, according to Lucy Bradshaw, a developer for Maxis. In a new interview with Bradshaw (via German gaming magazine GameStar), the developer reveals that the new game – SimCity 5 – will run on the new Glassbox game engine, and will feature multiplayer support as well as non-linear roads and updatable buildings.

Zone of the Enders HD Update
First announced last June, the Zone of the Enders HD Collection is finally set to ship during Fall 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A franchise that has long been adored by hardcore gamers, as well as fans of Metal Gear Solid’s Hideo Kojima, Zone of the Enders produced a single sequel – The Second Runner – That will be packaged with the original in the new HD Collection. Both titles have been re-mastered with HD graphics.
PlayStation Vita Game Heaven
Next Friday, March 9th, will see a web broadcast from Sony titled “PlayStation Vita Game Heaven.” Starting at 3AM PST, the broadcast will not only detail a broad slate of Vita games for players to expect, but will disclose additional information regarding services for the new portable console.

Modern Warfare 3 DLC – March 20th
On March 20th, the first pack of DLC for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will drop for gamers to quickly devour. Available for Xbox Live Gold members as well as Free users, the content collection includes four new multiplayer maps, as well as two new Special Ops missions: Black Ice and Negotiator. Activision has divulged that fans can expect three additional DLC packs over the next year.
Doom is still Alive!
Though the future of the Doom franchise has been the subject of skepticism lately, Bethesda has released a reassuring statement for those chomping at the bit to take the fight to Hell and its minions. As quoted to GameSpot, Bethesda went on the record saying “Doom 4 is not cancelled. When we are ready to talk about the game, we’ll let folks know.”
