Ben Askren – Welterweight Tournament Champion (Audio Interview)

The Official Radio Partner of PunchDrunkGamer, Takedown Wrestling Media’s Scott Casber talked with former two-time Missouri NCAA National Champion and 2008 Olympian, Ben Askren, who captured the Bellator Season Two Welterweight tournament championship and now waits for word as to when he’ll get the earned title shot. Some critiques say he was overly confident, they may not know Askren. Some said Dan Hornbuckle’s experience would be too much for Askren to over come but Ben answered and utilized his superior wrestling skills to earn a decisive unanimous decision victory. Askren takes home a $100,000 payday and earns a shot at Bellator welterweight champion Lyman Good for the title later on this year. Askren hopes it will be in his natural backyard back in Kansas City at the Power and Light.
