GLORY has finalized the line-up for GLORY 31 Amsterdam; the co-headline bout and final two one-night, four-man Welterweight Contender Tournament participants for GLORY 31 Amsterdam have been confirmed. No. 2 ranked heavyweight Ismael “Mr. Pain” Londt (38-6-1, 18 KO) and Hesdy “Fighterheart” Gerges will rock RAI Amsterdam in the co-headline bout on Saturday, June 25.
Plus, feared Dutch-Surinamese contender Murthel “The Predator” Groenhart (58-20-3, 33 KO), ranked No. 1 in the division, and GLORY newcomer Karim “The Felin” Benmansour of France kick off the one-night tournament.
Comprising the other first round tournament match-ups are Swiss striker Yoann Kongolo (61-7, 45 KO), fresh off his classic battle with reigning welterweight kingpin Nieky Holzken, and Armenian-Belgian Harut Grigorian (50-9, 31 KO), who impressed in his GLORY debut, knocking out Máximo Suarez in April.
The tournament winner will face Holzken for the GLORY Welterweight World Championship at a later date.
GLORY Lightweight World Champion Robin “Pokerface” van Roosmalen (35-6, 19 KO) headlines GLORY 31 Amsterdam, defending his belt against No.1 ranked Sittichai (108-29-5, 26 KO) in a rematch of their hotly contested battle from November of last year.
Last week, GLORY announced the formation of its Super Bantamweight division and Grand Prix tournament to determine the inaugural champion of the new weight class. In the second of four quarterfinal bouts to play out this year, 21-year-old Dutch prospect Isis Verbeek (8-2, 5 KO) will face Russian veteran Irina Mazepa (10-19, 5 KO) at GLORY 31 SuperFight Series. Replacing previously announced Iman Barlow in the match-up, Mazepa steps in from the tournament reserve bout against Ferial Ameeroedien, who will be rebooked at a later date.
Welterweights Máximo “The Gladiator” Suarez (38-4, 21 KO) of Spain and GLORY newcomer Eyevan “Mister Cool” Danenberg of the Netherlands will kick off the card live on UFC FIGHT PASS.
