Cody Gibson “Tachi Palace Fights Main Event”

Wrestler vs. Wrestler. Cody Gibson is fighting Casey Olson in the main event at Tachi Palace Fights 12 on March 9th. What makes this special is that we have 2 wrestling coaches taking each other on at 135 (Bantamweight) and the winner most likely will see a title shot.
Gibson sits on a 5-2 career and looks to take his fight to the next level. He coaches at his former High School where he wrestled prior to going on to college, both Bakersfield and Menlo. What makes this good for me is that his opponent Casey Olson wrestled for the Fresno Bulldogs under Dennis Delido. Gibson was a fan of Olson’s growing up. Some 5 or more years separate the 2 and Olson hasn’t fought in over a year and certainly hasn’t seen 135 in many years. Wrestling unites them with a real Bond. I’m sure they’ll talk after the bout at Tachi Palace Fights 12 on March 9th but for now it’s strictly business.
