On one of the best UFC fight cards of the year, Cain Velasquez scored the TKO victory over Junior dos Santos in the fifth round to retain the UFC heavyweight title. Daniel Cormier decisioned Roy Nelson and in a “Fight of the Year” candidate, Gilbert Melendez defeated Diego Sanchez. Gonzaga, Dodson and Lombard also left the Toyota Center in Houston victorious.
