Ubisoft Announces Might & Magic X Legacy
This week, Ubisoft announced Might & Magic X Legacy. In the wake of the spectacular events in Might & Magic Heroes VI, you will play in a party of four adventurers entangled in intrigue and political machinations unfolding in and around Karthal. The city, on the verge of secession, is prey to competing factions vying for its control. Your actions will determine the fate of the city. Might & Magic X Legacy is an authentic solo experience in the classic first-person RPG genre. Create and lead your group into an exciting world and battle powerful mythical creatures while collecting ancient magical treasures. Through a turn-based gameplay system, defeat creatures and bosses to accomplish unique quests and make your way through dangerous dungeons, cities and labyrinths full of traps.
Injustice Season Pass DLC Announced for Xbox 360 & PS3
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have announced a Season Pass for the upcoming DC Comics fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us. Available for purchase at launch for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The Season Pass grants purchasers access to four of the game’s upcoming downloadable characters for the price of three. The Injustice: Gods Among Us Season Pass will be available in North America when the game launches, April 16, for $14.99 (PlaySation Network) or 1200 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE) and offers exclusive access to the Flash Point Skin Pack featuring alternate costumes for Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Deathstroke. Accompanying this piece of news is the recently confirmed playable characters: Black Adam and Raven.

Square Enix Confirms Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD
The rumors have been confirmed by Square Enix, Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD are coming to the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita. No release date or price is currently mentioned, but Square Enix will release an official announcement trailer for the game on March 25. Here is what Square Enix posted this week – “Officially confirmed for North America, we’re happy to announce FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster set for 2013! More than just a few of you have brought this up to me over Twitter, on the Forums, on Facebook, and at events. It’s been agonizing keeping the details from you, but that’s the name of the game (literally, the name of the game has been secret up to today!) and now that we can get this news out to you, allow me a moment to breath a collective sigh of relief for all of Square Enix North America… ::WHEW::”
Despite Controversy, SimCity Sells More Than 1 Million at Launch
SimCity has had major issues since it’s most recent launch including massive server problems but that has not slowed sales of one of the most anticipated titles of the year. EA announced this week that SimCity recorded more than 1.1 million units sold through in the first two weeks, making this the biggest SimCity launch of all time. Roughly 54 percent of those sales have been of digital versions of the game, downloaded directly to players’ PCs via Origin or other digital download services. Gamers have logged on to SimCity via Origin in record numbers, with 44 percent of SimCity sales delivered via EA’s direct-to-consumer digital download service. SimCity gamers have also helped set new records for peak concurrent users on Origin, now at 1.3 million and rising.

Unfinished Swan Studio Announces New Game
The studio behind The Unfinished Swan, Giant Sparrow, has announced that it’s currently working on its next game and they released the following statement on their website – “Mostly, we just wanted to answer all the fans who have been asking us if we’re working on anything new. The answer is “yes,” by the way. The working title is “Unannounced Giant Sparrow Project” and there’s no release date or platforms announced”.
Did BioShock Infinite Really Cost $200 Million?
According to the New York Times, the estimated cost of BioShock Infinite is upward of $100 million, not including marketing expenses, which could add another $100 million. The article cites unnamed sources and analysts and if true would make the game one of the most expensive ever developed. But BioShock Infinite creative director Ken Levine has taken to Twitter to refute the claims made by the New York Times report – “200 million for Infinite? Did someone send some checks to the wrong address?”.

Carmageddon: Reincarnation Coming To Next-Gen Platforms
In a recent report by Siliconera, Stainless Games have completed a $3.5 million funding round for the development of the next iteration of Carmageddon: Reincarnation on the next-gen platforms. Les Edgar, a shareholder of Stainless Games, spoke out about the revelation stating – “I have always had a great belief in Stainless, and I really admire their continued success as one of the leading indie dev studios, the Carmageddon name is one we all want to see rise again, and I know that in the hands of its original creators, we’re bound to get the best out of the brand. I’m delighted to be on board and helping make the project happen”.
More Than 1 Million Gamers Take Part in Global Zerg Invasion
Blizzard announced this week a trio of milestones achieved during the launch week of StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm. More than 1.1 million viewers tuned into the company’s 21-hour, global broadcast of launch events and community celebrations around the world, with peak concurrent viewership reaching over 125,000, was reported by Twitch. As of the end of its first two days of sales, Heart of the Swarm had sold through approximately 1.1 million copies worldwide, including both retail and digital sales. Last weekend, more than 1.1 million viewers tuned in to see the StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm tournament at the Major League Gaming (MLG) Winter Championship in Dallas, Texas. Heart of the Swarm reached a peak concurrent viewership of more than 157,000 viewers, was also reported by Twitch.
