On March 8, 2014, Supershowdown presents Muay Thai Combat Mania Yokkao 8, the eighth Yokkao Event is set to take place in Bolton at the Reebok Arena. Promoted by Mr. Brian Calder in cooperation with the Yokkao promoter Ms. Stefania Picelli, the event is already considered by fans as the biggest Muay Thai show the UK has ever seen.

 

The main event between Liam Harrison (Yokkao Fight Team) and Damien Alamos will determine who is the top Muay Thai “Farang” fighter in the world. Liam Harrison, is one of three fighters, along with Jordan Watson and Dzhabar Askerov, who are apart of the prestigious Yokkao Fight Team.

 

Training out of Bad Company Gym in Leeds, he is the 4X World Champion in Muay Thai. Liam is considered by the best P4P fighter Saechai, “the strongest farang I have ever fought with”.

 

Damien Alamos is the French fighter who became the Lumpinee Champion in 2012, and has also defeated Crice Boussoukou, Tim Thomas and Houcine Bennoui.

 

The fight between Liam Harrison and Damien Alamos will seal a mark in the history of Muay Thai in Europe.

 

The co-main event of the night will feature the new Thai Superstar of Muay Thai, Pakorn PK MuayThaiGym who recently joined the Yokkao Fight team by signing a management contract with Muay Thai Combat Fighter Agency represented by Ms. Stefania Picelli. He is set to fight against Greg Wootton, one of the top fighters out of the UK.

 

Pakorn, along with his friend and his training ally Saenchai, is actually considered the most valued fighter of Muay Thai. He won both the Belt of Thailand and “Fighter of the Year” prize in 2013, two of the most coveted prizes that Muay Thai fighters can wish to earn.

 

Pakorn won versus Saketdao, Non-O, Kongsak, Pornsanae and competed versus the best of the best including Saenchai. He is nicknamed, “Golden Boy” as he continues to earn this title in the present while pursuing the biggest purse in the Thai circuit.

 

This event will be a special edition where all the fights will have 5 x 3 minutes rounds instead of 3 x3.

 

The fight card will also feature Rungravee Sasiprapa facing off against Dean James, Panicos Yusuf vs Rittuak Kaewsamrit, Tim Thomas vs Reece McAllister and many others top UK fighters who will make this event the biggest the UK has ever seen.
